they tried shutting demonoid down a couple years ago and the result was a move to another location and a new site. They're ready for this. They're not impervious but they're as ready as it's possible to be.

Governments are playing whackamole and they will lose. Just like the B2 bomber space age army in Afghanistan is losing agaisnt barefoot peasants in mud huts

Sorry connor, the problem is there's no ad revenue anymore and now huge risks of extradition and jail time.

I know the kids on reddit think that the people behind these sites ran them out of goodwill twords humanity but it was now non-existent ad revenue.

private torrent sites have never made any money. There are no ads anywhere.

I can say that all the new showtime and HBO shows tonight were posted on private torrent sites.

It's guerrilla internet...I see a lot of the seedboxes now are coming out of Romania. What is not economically feasable here may be very lucrative someplace else.

OVH in France carries like 50% of all torrent seeding via their servers setup as seedboxes.

One phone call from the DOJ to the president of France and its gone. I seriously doubt seedboxes in the eastern block or the middle east are going to be able to handle even 1% of that kind of traffic let alone ever be legitimate to the point where customers would actually give them any kind of payment information.
