How can you even get hard if you are living in such a humiliating way that wrecks your self esteem?
I know relatively successful women that have men they are trying to "fix" doing this sort of thing and paying for their expenses and basics like food, clothes, etc...

It sucks for everyone. Deep down, on that instinctive, ingrown level that feminism hysterically denies the very existence of, women are unable to respect men who can't provide. Meanwhile of course it is horrible on the men but they are confused too, because they've received the same cultural marxist education and media indoctrination, and it never even occurs to them that this will impact their relationships and sense of self. They can soothe their confusion by retreating into videogame dreamworlds of hypermasculine achievement.
The women do clerical work or admin.....no one is cracking $60K a year for sure.
BUT....I know this one guy who is now 62 years old and was an engineer. His wife is a doctor and on the board of directors of a major medical school. He got fired on purpose when he was in his late 40s and has been a gigolo ever since. When people ask him what he does his answer since the 90s was "I do freelance designs for clients".
BULLSHIT....he just watches TV, buys antiques, plays with his cars, etc.....and has been for about 20 years.
His wife makes over $350K easy.
But the family is fucked up. The daughter moved over 300 miles away right after high school and became an alcoholic plus is rumored to have fucked several men to amuse herself. The son went to college for some worthless degree and was still living at home well into his late 20s. They hooked him up with a woman doctor who he eventually married and now lives off of. Like father like son I guess.
It's hard to make money these days, and in general gen-y guys don't have their shit together, and don't really care. If a woman wants to have any sort of dating lives with these handsome losers, she has to pay. The guy would just as soon lounge around with his buds with some weed and beer and play video games.
Betas with money, are of course, completely overlooked.

Women can hang onto mediocre-pay clerical jobs with health insurance for their kids, and face that job for 40 years. Men won't do that safe job thing for $35K for decades.

a) More men than women have been laid off in the Great Recession. This is because men tend to work in blue collar jobs like construction and women tend to work in pink collar jobs in growth industries like health care.
b) More young women are going to college and have 4 year degrees than men. The unemployment rate for college graduates is lower than for high school graduates.

Those girls come to me, they seek me out. They always do. And they always manage to find me when times get tight enough. Usually they are demure, embarrased. There are jobs that do not pay well but allow a man to support himself if he can not find a good job. A man even working as a cashier in a store and renting a small apartment while having a relationship with a woman is more respectable that a gigolo living off of a woman's income.
