He doesn't want to pay the full tithe. I have no idea how direct deposit vs a paper check would make a difference. However, he's hiding it from the elders.

I've got Jehovah's witnesses coming over all the time. What's their angle? I've heard they go around to houses and if people are home during the day they have a better chance of getting a lonely shut-in. Then what? They get them to join and pledge all their assets to the church after they die or some such conniving?
Not a troll, dead serious. Members are probably obliged to show financial statements to the church since tithe is based on income. Her boss must have a new account the church doesn't know about, so he skims off the top and redeposits into the old account. He just got the job and moved out here.

I fucked a teen mormon missonary once. She came over and I went to get her some coffee but I spilled some on my hand and burned it. She was all concerned and came over to help me and took and and started washing it in the cold water. While she stood there washing my hand I leaned in and kissed her and we started making out. The only way the LDS Church would find out how much he's making is if he authorized them to automatically deduct tithing from his checking account. Most Mormons don't elect this option, though; they pay the traditional way.

This is bullshit, you can split payments with most companies with ACH DD. Stupid troll. The only way a check works is if he gets incentive payments separate from his base.

LDS Temples are equivalent to money machines. Mormon converts need the services of the temples to get to Heaven. You need to be in good standing (verifiable income) to play.

Not true. Members are not obliged to show financial statements during the annual tithing settlement, which is normally held in December of each year. Furthermore, attendance at the annual tithing settlement is voluntary, and as long as one is paying tithing, the Church will take the member's word that it is a full tithing.
Beats the hell out of me. Maybe he doesn't want to pay a full tithing, and he's worried that if he's found out, his bishop will pull his temple recommend.
The temple recommend allows a member access to a local Mormon temple to perform various ordinances not done during a normal Sunday meeting.
I should mention that he just moved here from SLC so I assume he's at a new church. Maybe he understated his income from jumpstreet to make it appear lower than it really is and that's why he has a separate account.

tithing as practiced today by many churches is cruel and burdensome. A biz owner will surely tithe on profit, after he deducts all of his expenses. An employee ought to be able to do the same. Deduct costs for transportation, taxes, clothing, education.
