Greetings to everyone. I just got back in the country after a trip overseas for work. Things are going fine. It's tough hearing about Lara suffering PTSD but that's not unexpected. I'm glad for all the progress she's made in dealing with what happened, in her personal life, in her career. Looking forward to the new show. Whether anything new comes out or not concerning the incident in Cairo, she'll be fine, I think. She's had time to get her strength back and she's a fighter. I'm hoping she has some of her best work ahead of her, some fun, some adventures, some kick ass stories to tell. :)

Surely if Lara was gang raped why are the secret police not trying to to discredit her version of events ?IF Lara's story is untrue then why after she spoke out did all the bullshit stories ,fat kid video etc stop?
Because they are SCARED to be seen as the perpetrators of the crime. They wanted to humiliate and pressure her and maybe break her but without leaving evidence that could point out to THEM.
They want to break people but not SEEN doing so. It is counter-productive to them.
So they are silent. For if they speak up jigs up for them.

Nobody of us is telling the full spektrum of facts of what we experience or feel or think and that is in perfectly good times when nothing is at stake. Think about it? for the money because the U.S. would not pay if they are raping our citizens. Witness statements and proof will surface but for now the secret police are collecting statements of those who saw or has proof after giving them a proper beating. If it did not happen then the eygpt government and secret police would have been hitting the media to out the fraud but since they are very quite they not only know it happened but most likely took part.

The reason is best explained in two fold. One the silence gives a measure of deniability while also allows for others to know what to expect if you get nosy. The reason for all the stories to dry up is those were made up stories. The real stuff has yet to surface due to backlash from those in power.
