I don't think her latent PTSD is from the assault. I think it's from reading this thread. This thread has kept her assault alive for about a year now while others simply moved on to other events. I bet you she comes on this thread almost as much as some of the people on this thread.
No. She does not come here very often or even regularly. I bet she has people reading here.
And it does not keep her PTSD. Her PTSD was a direct result of what the crowd did in Tahir Square. Even the most horrible troll in this thread is not really doing anything even comparable to what happened there. That does not mean that the trolls writing here have no grounds to be ashamed or that they do not do some damage.
Yes that is good. Too many men shy away from it and cannot help properly. That is really good! PS: That should also be the duty of a husband all in all. That is what he is here for. To Help.

i do not understand why she keeps feeding the media with this story. she should protect her family and herself but every time that the story is about to be forgotten... she gives an interview and hits the headlines. the strange here is that she focuses on the sexual assault rather to indicate the military that maybe it was behind the attack. really i do not understand what was the purpose of the recent interview. did she say something new? NO. I understand that she is still traumatized but this is a topic to discuss with her doctors not a reason to give an interview.
She has already said that she believes the secret service to be kinda behind the attack in some way.
That depends on why you understand therapy or healing. You have a very conservative way of seeing at healing in these matters. Let me extrapolate. In the stone age - mere centuries ago - when a woman was raped it was her "problem" and she was expected to either a) kill herself or b) shut the fuck up about it
Then came the middle ages - still some decades ago - where a woman was to be expected to get some kinda help (mostly from other women somehow) and you guessed it shut the fuck up about it.
Then came the somewhat modern times where a woman would go to therapy but - you guessed it - shut the fuck up about it to other people. It was considered a private matter in all the wrong ways.
The problem with it is: Is that the RIGHT way of expecting to be healed? Especially in modern times? Especially in a situation like this? Is rape a private matter? Is a gang rape a private matter? Why? Is it GOOD to think of it as a private individual matter? Why, exactly? In Afghanistan rape is not considered a private matter but something that affects whole families and tribes. THEY got the basic idea right but they surely SUCK in applying the right remedy to it (they kill the dishonored woman) We in the west do not get the basic idea right but try to apply the right remedy. Now what we should do is getting the basic idea right AND applying the right remedy.
Namely: Acknowledging that rape is NOT a private matter but something that affects a great many people and in a way the "honor" of a society. BUT in the other way of trying to help the raped person also as a society not only in the forum of a specialized therapist but also open and public and assuring and acknowledging the NEED for the Rape victim to also speak about it publicly and be assured.

I read this board and now can write also. No man yet did tell abot the photograph they took of her wen the mob take her away. I saw them on edge of Tahrer square near the Costa Coffee shop where they hold her. the crowd was big and many men pushing me to see wat was hepining then some men with a big camera come. they stand in front of shop window. She was was hold and crying naked and crowd cheer loud. it was not cellphone camera. I was sad to see it how she look. it was embersing for her all naked. they took her away but I cod not follow them. i fear what next hepened.

over the last several months I have been using this thread as a Lara Logan search engine. I come here two or three times a week to get the latest updates since people here post every bit of new info regarding Lara.
I have to say, of all the awards lara has been getting, someone should nominate her for "crybaby of the year award". when she first came out, I felt bad for her, but its getting to the point where her constant whining about I have PTSD, they did this to me and they did that to me is getting to the point where when I see picture of her I want to vomit. there are so many other journalists who have handed their misfortunes with dignity, where as Lara it has become nothing but a clinic on how to endlessly whine about what they did to her with their hands and how she is so huanted blah blah blah. she should just shut the fuck up.

Well from your lack of human dignity your saying rape victims should just forget the trauma they went through! That woman has more guts then your fake ass!
You do not have the slightest IDEA what PTSD is like especially for a rape victim. Let me tell you what a flashback is also called an intrusion. Imagine you are walking in the streets. Now you are in a different country in a different city and with different people around you. You are walking the streets...and suddenly you are being raped again. There was no warning or something. It is just that you see again the people that have done that to you again raping you....and you are feeling EXACTLY like being raped again...all the thoughts and feelings are there and the worst part is: You cannot move. You are completely frozen in shock and abused without mercy. You tell yourself that it cannot be happening but it just goes on and on.
Your own brain is working against you. There are parts of your memory that harbor very condensed memories of what happened back then and they come spilling out. You are feeling totally helpless. The best part is: Every flashback traumatizes you again. And so it never stops. It just goes and on. The more horrible your trauma the more terrible the flashback.
That is BTW only ONE of the scourges a FULL PTSD is capable of doing to you. There are lots more. And you stand here and tell us that Lara should stop whining? You are an idiot and an asshole.

Until we hear the full details from beginning to end of Lara's attack,YOU shut the fuck up.The Crying and PTSD is all a part of it.That's what we are here for,and when she is ready,she will reveal all.Shut the fuck up,you fucking IDIOT!
