People do not really know that much about (posttraumatic stress disorder) she told the Daily News. There is something called latent PTSD. It manifests itself in different ways. I want to be free of it, but Iam not.
Please tell us about your PTSD, Lara. The only way we can really understand what you are going through is to know what horror you are experiencing right now. That does not mean you have to tell everything that happened at that time (we understand if you have reasons not to) but you can talk about the consequences of your PTSD without breaking any promises or contracts. Please tell the public and audience WHAT horror chronic PTSD is really like in YOUR case. You should not suffer in private. Let the suffering be shared by us - the public - to make your healing easier. It is our responsibility. You went there to tell us about what happened when Mubarak got ousted. You told us it was not your shame to carry You are right. But your suffering should not be yours alone too. Now we should be here for you too. Please let us help. Maybe we can tackle the chronic bastard of a asshole PTSD together!!!

I kinda feel bad for the guys who assualted Lara. they are probably having sleepless nights and loss of appetite from having flashbacks of what they did. yet it is difficult for them to talk to anybody about it. In many ways they are just as tortured as Lara maybe more since they do not have the support system that Lara does becuase they are probably very poor. If Lara got for example herpies while she was in Afghanistan or Iraq due to her sleeping around, then thats another worry these poor guys have. I really feel for Lara, but also I feel for the men who became victims of mob mentality and committed an act which under normal circumstances they would not have, and now spend their days obssessivly thinking about what happened.
I cannot ascertain if you are really meaning that seriously or if you try to make some sort of cynic joke.
But i know the post is horrible and despicable altogether. Concerning the "sleepless nights" these "men" have: Good. Did you read Dostoyevskys Crime and Punishment?
, with a 4 minor clarifications:
you should have asked him if he has HEARD of that.
more over, you are assuming he 1)heard of Dostoyevsky, 2)has a concept of crime, 3)can relate to the idea of one's own consiousness inflicting punishment.
However, you are correctly assessing that the species we are discussing here IS in fact capable of reading. Unless, of course, this is his 7 year old son who is reading out loud and typing things for him here.
One interview she'd been working on with a Taliban commander was deemed too risky for her to make the trip. She understands why those decisions have to be made, but doesn't like the change.
"It burns my ass, it does," she said. "I'm also okay with it. I know that's the right decision. Life is full of frustrations. You can't do everything you want."
I know why, CBS doesn't want your ass to be "Handed" to you that's all.
Listening to that, she is really rewriting the stories. She was a useless incoherent mess at that time, but now states she was convinced and strong already.
Incoherent mess?????
WTF. Furious Phoenix she was, ok? Still 90% dead, yet, flapping wings already and making decisions.
Look, there was a reason why someone said in the begining of all this, "I know this woman she is tough as Hell."
Goddamnit, Logan told the Daily News, I'm not going to give them everything.
Well a least tell us what you did give them. Oral sex?
It is taken out of context. She spoke of a raped African woman who was raped AND disemboweled who told her that. And it is not really oral sex what she - maybe - was forced to do but oral penetration against her will

The problem is that the Taliban are NOT trustworthy. They murdered the North Alliance Leader while supposedly asking for a meeting. They simply do NOT adhere to ANY honor code whatsoever. You cannot trust them. There would not be ANY assurance that the Taliban would not harm her. It was the same with Egypt where she was assured of safety and fair treatment and then all hell broke loose. And the Taliban are far worse than the Egyptian military.
She is a spokesmodel for the military-industrial complex.
I do not think so. Is she married to a private contractor? Yeah. But is she a war monger? No. She had seen too much of wars atrocities to really believe that. Spokespersons of the military-industrial complex do rarely tour 20 years in war torn countries...they tend to avoid these countries at all costs.

Her 60 Minutes pieces have been very "ra ra, go troops!"

That is a problem many "embedded" journalists face. In order to get stories you do have to be kinda military or soldier friendly or you are not going to get your spot to really SEE and EXPERIENCE something.
But being soldier and military friendly does not necessarily mean you are war-friendly. You can be on the side of the troops without loving war. The other is possible as well: You can be VERY fond of war but you can despise the troops who are fighting it out.
I do believe that certain people in the 2001-2008 political U.S. administration were loving the war out of personal motives and reasons. They did not love the troops but saw them more of cannon fodder.
I do believe Lara Logan was not loving the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. But she did respect the fighting troops as part of the good old U.S.
Lara Logan states: "My husband Knows everything, more than anyone, what they did to me."
No she never did state that. I do believe her therapist knows much more than everybody else. Maybe some female friends too. Maybe.
Actually, Euro, I think she did say that. Which is good. Sounds like he is actually worthy of her. Good job, Joe! (Not that he needs my or anyone else's approval).
