Yeah go for it. Just as long as you remember lane splitting is a little hard with it, perfect comfort, radio blasting, like being god.

Just filled out a form for an on line quote. Gonna see how desperate they are to make a sale. Prolly not selling as many as they were pre Obama.
My Voyager does that if the air shocks are not set right. That might be problem. There are a few videos on Youtube of well handled goldwings. Maybe it's rare skill, tho ,as there's also a video of Arto Nyquist wheelying a KZ1300 and riding it backwards.
Get a Royal Star Venture or a Vulcan Voyager instead. I am a Honda boi all the way but when it comes to a full dresser the other two are just as much bike where it counts and a boatload less.
And don't buy new. Get a couple of years old, they are still under warranty. Bikes drop a boatload in value the first two years.
Some of the earlier 1800's has issues like the frame cracking and the transmissions going out. I'd like to stay as far away from those as possible. Also, the sound system was beefed up starting in 06 I think.

Might as well get a car. I liked driving my car more than my GW. It was more sporty. And if you're going to ride in town much a GW doesn't hack it.
Are you prepared to be in a wreck, possibly a bad one? Because MC's are dangerous. Little shit that you don't even notice in a car can cause you to wreck, not to mention all the sled drivers who don't see you.
Which is why you should always get proper training. I learned a number of things taking the MSF class. The good thing is that many idiots don't get proper training and then they are kind enough to take the statistic hit for me and get killed, rather than I. Thanks guys!

I've taken the MSF and the ERC. Got a few 100k miles under my ass too. If I die as a skidmark on the Asphalt, it was meant to be.
