With the passing of Mike Wallace one of the news medias toughest and fearless reporters at the Godfather of 60 min. Would he have handled the Lara Logan interview on 60 min. in a different way and maybe asks some tougher questions of Lara and her film crew, that would have settled the matter once and for all and ended any speculation. Would Lara herself in hindsight do things differently? It's unfortunate to see Lara struggle in her career and it must be frustrating to her to be known as the fearless war reporter that just went too far.

Is it just me, or do all reporters go around the country and speek about how its about the body of their work (on pun) that what counts and not that she was headline news for weeks around the world.I'm sure that if any had the balls to ask her about the attack and if there where penises involved Joe would have had something to say about that. I think some of the people that came to see her just came to gawk at her and she if she will have a meltdown or slip out another clue.

Would you be willing to answer some specific questions as to these videos and help define this story until away can be figured out so that they don't disappear.
Can you tell us the duration of the length of each video?
Can you tell us if Ray's statement of only coming up with her sleeve if the video shows in the early stages if her sleeve was ripped off and if so which one?
Can you indicate at what point that they started to strip her and was she moving, standing, or on the ground?
Was she encircled or just being mauled by the mob, and if so what lighting conditions existed and was the cameraman within the circle or outside.
No one on this thread could ever get any answers from the fat kid or anyone else who claim to have seen the videos, if you do possess these videos we would all like to hear from you and if you don't it's just another dead end.

Okay guys I've been taking a look at this story jacket ass backwards if you can imagine for 1 min. let's assume fire hall Nick, parts 1 and 2, the Egyptian chronicles,Rue89, and a number of posts on blogs have some truth in them, some eyewitnesses, some wishful thinking, and some fantasy. What do all these things have in common first of all, they call in question the length of the attack some say up to three hours, next they have her being raped with penises and objects and giving blow jobs, they also state she was isolated and stripped naked, and she was also severely beaten. The CBS article vaguely alludes to the same script but falls far short for reasons that have been discussed in depth in these pages. Over the course of the past year after Lars's 60 min. interview and others she cannot be interview in the press or media without the questions of her attack coming up or being alluded to. We know from the WWC interview the 20 min. turned into 45, the statement that her close were torn to shreds turned into she was completely naked when they hit the fence and the list goes on her being warned by the secret police not to return or else unspeakable things would happen to her, the warning from the locals not to venture into the crowd, the attacks on the other journalist, Dutch girl, naked blogger. Her so-called promiscuity put in question the way she got her stories and puts a cloud over all female journalists for the fact that they rarely report rape and sexual harassment to the public and their bosses is the same reason they gain access where male reporters cannot. Her interview on Marie Colvin death she appears visibly and deeply upset. If fat Debbie is correct as most of us have thought from the beginning it would only be a matter of time before the photos surfaced, so stay tuned sports fans and have at it.
I think at this time to have another egyptian man's hands going over her body would be like adding insult to injury. I'm sure that even back at the hotel locked in her room surrounded by her crew she didn't feel safe and she wanted nothing to stop her from getting the fuck out of that country ASAP.
I've been following this blog for about a year I have to say that what happened to Lara the other women in Egypt was truly horrible and I don't want to diminish that but to be held captive for 15 months by 14 to 18 year old boys shackled, tortured, starved, and raped is beyond horrific. What I'm about to say may seem extremely harsh and insensitive and I'm sure some of you will not be shy about chastise me, but what happened to Lara and the others that were attacked for 30 to 40 min. Looks like a day at the beach with friends. Sorry Lara, my heart goes out to you and all the other victims.
Great thought in "my" case if I was the only outsider seeing a women attacked like that white, brown,or any other color and out numberd by a mob I would go for help, bearing in mind I did not speek the language I think it would take some time to convince the military and get back to help her.

I've been sitting by and reading this thread and I believe now is the time to jump in. What draws people to this story is it a perverse sickness or just mere curiosity, if this was just about and Egyptian citizen or a local news reporter I don't think this story would have lasted this long. But the fact that the story is about CBS's Chief Foreign Middle East Correspondent has peaked worldwide interest. Everyone liberal or conservative would like to feel that the news outlet that they follow is truthful and honest, about important news stories the silence is deafening. The way this story was handled for what ever reason personal or political, has let the genie out of the bottle. I believe that Lara Logan and CBS not knowing the future of her career and the state of her marriage and family life crafted the 60 min. interview accordingly. As months passed she received support from her boss, her family and friends and especially her husband, the support of total strangers and colleagues has allowed her to speak more about the attack. Recent events in Egypt, videotape and footage posted on Arab websites and news media has galvanized her story. Whether or not at this time she feels healthy enough to speak more about the event will be on her terms and her terms only. If other evidence such as videotape surfaces she may readdress the issue. Until then we watch we wait and we surmise and hypothesize.
