Bullshit. It's just another addition to the long list of compounds that are considered "carcinogenic" in CA - but not anywhere else on the planet. The thing is that CA will list something if it appears to cause cancer in rats if you force feed them 50g/kg of it or some similar absurd amount - even if there is zero evidence of any effect at all in humans or at any dose rate that anyone might be exposed to in real life.

They have been doing this for decades, with the result that there are literally thousands of compounds you can't use in CA or you have to put that stupid warning on things. This might be defensible if there was any indication at all that it actually has a beneficial effect on human health, but so far there isn't - the cancer rate in CA is not materially different from anywhere else.

I am surprised that you dont mention Jack Vance since you name drop so many oldsters. His scifi is surreal, more fantasy-like than scifi and very entertaining if you have a dry sense of humor. I think Asimov and Clarke are overrated. They were big names because so few people wrote scifi when they were active. Big fish in a little pond syndrome. BTW Douglas Adams does not belong to this generation, hes a modern author. Modern authors... hm - I found Marrow/Well of Stars by Robert Reed to be a most interesting take on post-humans and their life. If you like stiff somewhat Clarkuesque scifi James P Hogan might be something for you. One of my favorites are the alien invasion subgenre of Space Opera, particulary scenarios where voracious aliens consume large amounts of flabby american whytes. Sadly the supply of this delicay is somewhat unreliable, since the main provider, a guy named John Ringo, seem to run dry after writing a few books in a new series. The first five books of the Posleen saga and the first of the Looking glass books are well worth it if you like this genre. He tends to involve authors of lesser skills into his works as they progress which results in a sad drop in the quality of storytelling in later books.

Not all of them. Some of the smarter Hispanics have moved away from whites for cultural reasons. They see in America there really isn't a sense of family and community like they were raised in. They see many whites have a selfish & predatory attitude and realize that, in the long run, white society is doing itself in. They don't want their children raised in such a toxic environment lest the latter adopt the white mentality.
