I really hope these "trolls" are trying to upset us and that they don't actually believe the things they are saying about Ms. Logan or the things they are saying about women in general. I mean, it seems like the implication is that any woman with a voluptuous figure should refrain from attempting a serious career of any sort. Who in the English speaking world still thinks that way? I've been trying to get the person responsible for the mean posts on recent pages to talk about it but he/she/it doesn't seem interested. I don't believe this person really believes the nonsense about women in low cut dresses being "sluts" or the tabloid rumors about Ms. Logan. In my opinion, this person is here for one of there three reasons: 1. Some sort of random vendetta against Ms. Logan, 2. Hate for this thread and the regular posters herein, 3. Hoping to shape the narrative of this story to further a political agenda. And, man, what a waste of time. If it's a vendetta, right, I seriously doubt Ms. Logan or her colleagues actually read this thread or still care what is posted in here. If it's hate for us, well, right, it's not like we're seeing something new or exciting in these posts (it's just kind of annoying). If it's someone hoping to further a political narrative, right, this thread lost its credibility hundreds of pages ago (no opinion expressed in here matters outside of this place anymore). The only people seeing this thread are those searching Google every day for articles about "Lara Logan" posted in the past 24 hours. So, like, half a dozen people out of the whole country. Regulars from this thread. There is no audience here.

I'm not upset. I know the Internet is full of Photoshop fakes featuring celebrities of every variety. I'm not saying what you did here was unique or above and beyond; it's just pretty rude considering the circumstances and the nature of this thread. I'm sure you meant it as a joke but it's mean-spirited and wrong. If you could, I'd appreciate it if you deleted it before others in here start spreading it around. It's obviously a fake. There have been fake pictures of her posted on here before so this isn't something new but, somehow, this one seems quite a bit more offensive than the others. It could be the level of realism but I think it's got more to do with the fact that she's experiencing such a sweet and intimate moment in the original photograph. Man, this is wholly inappropriate. I really don't think you should have shared this with the world. What if it goes viral? What if she sees it? Seriously, did you not have a mother? How are you this callous? Do you actually believe the few spitting out hate rhetoric? This is an incredible woman. She deserves more respect. What you did was wrong.

He's completely right about there being very little that isn't repetition after page 200 and most people out there have forgotten about this story and moved on to whatever new episode of whatever new reality show. Don't take offense but it's true. You know it's true. *shrug*
There is also footage of her in Alexandria surrounded by men who are NOT outraged by her appearance and NOT raping her. Her appearance was not the one thing that turned a peaceful crowd into a mob of angry rapists. It wasn't her hair. It wasn't her boobs. It was a vicious and hateful attack by people opposed to who she is and what she stands for or a vicious attack by lawless thugs. It wasn't a bunch of normal dudes turned into rapists by the sight of some cleavage and blond hair. Come on.

There are numerous clips of Ms. Logan reporting from the Middle-East with a head scarf. She wasn't dressed that inappropriately for Cairo -- certainly not so much as to provoke a riot.
Sure, she could have exercised more caution (she COULD have warn dark glasses and a fake mustache) but... she was there for an hour or more surrounded by men who didn't rape her in spite of how she was dressed. The CBS footage shows thronging crowds of men around her NOT raping her or touching her at all. Obviously, those men, those hundreds and hundreds of men, were not outraged by her appearance.
It wasn't until a certain group of troublemakers showed up that there was a problem. A bad element. A distinctly hostile band of men. The most obvious theory is that these were supporters of the regime... not a group of random Egyptian men out to defend the Koran by raping a woman because her hair was uncovered. They didn't shout praises to the Koran -- they shouted that she was a Jew and an agent/spy -- so they were supporters of the regime.
She's shown more cleavage than that several times in the past few months. But, that's beside the point. She wasn't raped just because she looked sexy. You don't get attacked by 200 men in the town square because you have a low cut top, not in any culture. She was attacked because there were gangs seeking revenge on anyone that didn't support the ideology they were so fanatical about that they'd cast stones at people and tried to murder them over it for weeks prior to this attack. She was attacked because there was a security draw down and evil bands of assholes came in looking to destroy some lives. She could have been dressed like a nun and she'd have been attacked. It's not about her boobs. I'm sure it became about her boobs but she wasn't raped because of what she was wearing.
I'll never understand men who feel insulted or taunted by the appearance of some cleavage. You'd think they would be grateful she's sharing her beauty. It's just some stupid way of casting blame. Just as many women are raped for being too prudish as women raped for being too "slutty" or whatever else. No matter what you do, a criminal will find a way to blame you for his batshit crazy actions.
I know a few different women who were gang raped at parties. A friend's daughter was gang raped at a party. It's pretty insane to think that you live in a community full of rapists. If one in four women are raped in their lifetime then one in four of the men you interact with have raped a woman. That's just insane.
