Dallas police are searching Saturday for a 22-year-old man believed to be involved in a series of robberies on and near the Katy Trail.
Police have three arrest warrants for Dominique Travun Thornton.
The trio of robberies last weekend renewed safety concerns of one of Dallas most treasured assets. The first incident happened late Saturday night, when a 25-year-old man said he was robbed in the 3700 block of Travis Street. In the second case, a 28-year-old woman leaving a bar was robbed at gunpoint of her iPhone and purse. The third case took place 6:30 a.m. Sunday, when a 34-year-old man reported being robbed of his iPhone and cash as he jogged on the trail near Blackburn Street.
Before those incidents, there were 11 other robberies, including four near the Katy Trail, this month. But police dont know for sure whether they are all connected.
Anyone with information about Thorntons whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (214) 373-8477.
