Then it was natural selection. All they do is feed off society anyway

pensioners likely have already have kids.

so this is not natural selection.

geez - these things are fuel hogs. The QE2 burns 380 TONS of fuel a day.

there are so many better ways to use petroleum than to burn it.

depends. older ships (and cargo ships) use massive piston engines, 9 or 15 cylinders.

I see that newer ships use turbines connected to generators, connected to electric motors.

still, that's a lot of expensive hardware, ruined, plus a lot of dismantling to get it all replaced.

I wonder if the engines are ruined - flooded with salt water.

Those engines are LARGE. How do they replace them?

Isn't a good time to buy right now since prices are about as low as they've been for a year or more?

That was not done to get a sample just to see if uranium had a property that no one had ever heard of before. How was experimentation done prior to separation?

you wouldn't need a chain reaction to test what was fissible or not.

You wouldn't WANT a chain reaction.

just send in a neutron and look for more neutrons out/fission daughters.

apples to oranges.

light weight coupe with VW's best engine of the time vs. a bloated luxury sedan with BMW's base engine.
