Dells are nice b/c replacement parts are common and cheap. Sony has awesome hardware plagued by a few bugs. Not good for business/corp use at all. Also the worst device drivers and driver support by far. Sometimes they leave it at v1.0.
If you're going to spend over a grand, just get the 13" Macbook. Or 15"
If not, buy a $500-600 Dell or some Acer thing. The shit has been commoditized to the point where the main difference between a $600 and 900 PC laptop are the additions of a backlit keyboard and nvidia graphics card.
