Late Sunday, police said Barnes was a suspect in another shooting incident.
On New Years, there was an argument at a house party in Skyway, south of Seattle, and gunfire erupted, police said. Barnes was connected to the shooting, said Sgt. Cindi West, King County Sheriff's spokeswoman.
According to police and court documents, Barnes had a troubled transition to civilian life, with his former girlfriend saying in a child custody dispute that he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder following his Iraq deployments and was suicidal.

The notion of "statehood" and "citizenship" is blurring because of Globalism and Diversity. Corporate and individual fates are no longer tied to one country, making them much more likely to think short term as they can walk away and move on to the next place when it goes bad.

In the early 20th century America (and Europe for that matter) did not face competition from billions people in developing nations for energy and business. The world is flattening, and dragging down the standards of living in developed nations in the process.
It isnt as simple as that anymore. The low hanging fruit has already been picked and the factors of production continue to congeal in the hands of a very few. You fight billion dollar corporations from above and billions of undercutting Chinese and Indians from below.
Theres also large sectors of the economy that simply dont exist anymore. Think about how many people were employed just in brick and mortar retail in the past...millions of people in jobs that will never exist again.
